Bands & Books is all about weaving the love of music and the love of literature. We suspect that people who are into books have great taste in music and vice versa.
To test this theory, we decided to find someone who had written a book about being in a band to send us a Bands & Books mixtape summing up the music of the book.
The book we found is the Costa First Novel Award 2010 shortlisted Coconut Unlimited, the writer, Ch4 Comedy Lab's very own Nikesh Shukla, and the mixtape is here
Meanwhile, we're preparing some exciting announcements about who will be reading/rocking our launch party at the Victoria Mile End on the 16th September (did we mention that?).

Expect a night to remember, all you need to bring is an open mind, the book you're currently reading for our Hall of Fame, and some change for the chippy across the road.
